Solid Steps for Cryptocurrency
In the last few weeks, noteworthy events have taken place to further solidify digital assets’ place in the financial services industry. BNY Mellon, America’s oldest bank founded by Alexander Hamilton, just announced it was the first of eight financial heavyweights to start crypto asset custody services. And last month, the White House released its first-ever framework for the responsible development of digital assets. Michael Hsu, the acting Comptroller of the Currency, also recently shared his thoughts on where policymakers should be devoting their time regarding financial technologies.
